A Little Bit More About Me, As Your Content Creator, Coach, or Retreat Host!

As most freelancers and small business owners will tell you, writing the 'About' page on your website can be pretty challenging! However, it is so so useful for your community to get to know you and your ethos. I've chosen to create this separate post to add a little more detail about myself and the way my work has evolved to where I am today. Enjoy, and if you do have any questions you'd like to ask before choosing to work with me, just send me a message.

I am a writer, wellness coach, and yin yoga tea her based in Cornwall. I have combined my academic background with teacher training, gaining experience in marketing agencies and pursuing CPD qualifications in the coaching and wellness industry.

My degrees are in English and Visual Culture (BA Hons, University of Exeter) and Creative Writing (MA, University of Winchester) and I have trained as a Blue Health Coach and Meditation, Mindfulness & Wellness Coach, both of which are accredited by the ICF (International Coaching Federation).

Here in Falmouth and online, I work with small local businesses and self-employed people to help them share what they do with the world. I passionately support small, local enterprise and shining a light on brands and the people behind them who inspire me. Sometimes that means practical help with writing and brand visuals, and sometimes that means getting entrepreneurs together in supportive environments to boost morale and connection.

I have extensive experience delivering workshops both independently and with partner organisations such as the Eden Project , The Sea Sanctuary and Hall for Cornwall. I also deliver online workshops and talks, and have appeared on BBC Radio Cornwall and local podcasts to talk about my work, which is something I hope to do more of this year.

As a freelance content creator, I also help my small businesses manage their social media accounts and marketing materials. This can include Instagram and Facebook posts, blogs, newsletters and website copy as well as bespoke projects.

Although most of my clients are in the wellness industry, I am open to working with anybody who feels like we might be a good fit for each other. If your contribution to wellness is coffee and cake, or lovely hand-crafted gifts, that's fine by me! If our values align, let's chat.

Alongside my freelance career I have recently worked in the Falmouth Bookseller, a thriving independent bookshop in the heart of my creative local community.

I've also been a sailing, windsurfing and paddle boarding instructor and somehow managed to spend most of my school and uni summer holidays working on beaches or lakes in the South West.

I am a free spirit and lover of the seaside and storytelling. I'm highly sensitive and I listen, think and feel deeply - I love connecting with people and learning both experientially and through books and words. You'll find me spending as much time as possible outside, usually by the coast with my dog Ted.

I believe in bringing my whole self into the work that I do, and in turn I love the openness of connecting with people who show up vulnerably and honestly themselves.
